Focus On The Barrel is an imperial stout and it's a hit! Stout is delicious in itself with strong tones of dark chocolate and cocoa. In the brewery, however, it was left to mature for more than a year in wooden bourbon barrels. This imperial stout has taken on a whole new dimension and a pleasant touch of bourbon, which leaves an amazing aftertaste.

Bottle 0.33l from our archive, more than three years aged. Clear, black colored. AROMA- bourbon, wood, roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark caramel, coffee, cocoa nibs. FLAVOR- very smooth, lightly sweet, moderately bitter, the same as aroma. Fuller bodied. Really fine stuff from Sibeeria.

Lahev (Díky do Neratovíc!): Literally black, small and stable brown foamy layer, moderate to solid sweet-bitter nose of chocolate, roasted malt and dried vinous fruits, wood and vanilla - as expected - in the background; robust sweet and bitter flavour, full bodied- what else, silky MF; lingering vinous and roasty with and increasing alcohol-burn and a tart bitterness in the aftertaste. Great beginning, weaker ending...

Bottle shared with the Zmajska crew (thanks!). Extremely dark brown-black body with a creamy pale brown-grey head. Berry and woody barrel notes in the smooth aroma, pistachio and alcohol. Smooth creamy taste, raisins, pistachio ice cream, wood, quite smooth, ending dry. Warming alcohol, but I dislike it less than I did for the SGOD. All in all, quite nice!
