330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average to huge, firm, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy and fruity, yeasty aroma, hints of brine, apricot, mustard. Taste is slightly peppery, yeasty spicy, a touch of diluted brine, bitter hoppy overtones with citrusy remnants, old lemon zest, dried apricot; slightly watery.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy amber, long-lasting white head. Aromas of bread, spice, light lime. Taste is tangy, more spice, sandalwood maybe. Light body, thin finish.

Pretty much a clear deep gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and smooth. Good fine carbonation. Weird funky yeasty semi sourness. Floralness and then decent marmalade hops. Light semi dry finish. Too weird.

Keg at the Earl Of Essex, 13/02/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate white head that retains. Nose is candied sugars, orange sherbet, spice, light yeast, mandarin, floral notes. Taste comprises tangy orange, light spice, caramel, tangy fruits, hint of stoned fruits, bubblegum. Medium bodied, finr carbonation, sweet tang in the close. Solid Belgian affair.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white crown. Good, clean stuff. Some flinty minerality here, dry pale malts, dried tangerine. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish with stones and minerals, dry pale bread, some straw bitterness. Nice, very sessionable.

Cask at By the Horns Brewery & Tap Room, in company of Loz, Ang & Nick (By the Horns brewer) Summerstown, London, consumed Saturday 14th December 2013 Clear amber with slim white head. Quite an interesting take on a Belgian Ale, it clearly has a lot of Belgian about it with a pleasant warm spiciness from the yeast underpinning everything but then you are jolted back into a different orbit with a snappy hoppy bite, the Galaxy hops really tussling with the Belgian Yeast for attention. A good beer with a nice twist, the bitterness lingers but with a spicy edge. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
