330ml bottle from Beer Ritz. Golden amber colour with a white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of rubarb, woody oak, whisky. Taste is tangy, tart, fruity, rubarb, vanilla with oaky & whisky notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Nicely drinkable, has aged well.

Light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly white head. Nice nose of mild gueuze and or orchard fruits. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Taste follows the nose and adds mild vanilla and fruity whisky. Light crisp finish. Very nice combination of flavours and a crisply drinkable barrel aged beer.

Bottle shared on the train from Inverness to Wick, from Tomlinsons, 20/10/13. Hazed orange with a thin off white covering. Nose is tangy fruits, lemon rind, rhubarb, earthy, subtle whisky aroma, straw, light tropical wafts, tartened apricot. Taste comprises bitter orange, apricot, tarte fruits, light spice, barnyard, dank straw soaked in whisky, lemon zest, rhubarb crumble. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, tangy dry finish full of fruit bitterness infused with a wee dram of Speyside malt. A most decent complex saison, the alcohol is well integrated and the Speyside whisky is handled in a very subtle manner. A definate revisit for me !

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. This is basically rhubarb crumble, with a booze infused vanilla custard, in a glass, with a head, sold as a beer. Oh, and with a squeeze of lemon on top. Which is why it tastes so good?
