Bottled. Clear watery gold. Small head. Harsh atale malt aroma. Weird sweet burned chestnut taste. Blech.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer.
The smell had a slight \"soapy\" sweet citrus hops. Bitter? Hmm...not exactly.
The taste was mainly sweet with a slight sweet maltiness. There they are: bittered malts - okay so they’re in the taste. Alright, at least I found them.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was slightly there and allowed a slight smooth sweet citrus in a soapy sort of way to come across.
Overall, well, it’s a Bitter. To try and make this appealing is a super hard job to do so my hat goes off to Caledonian for the effort. Not bad, nice to try but I probably wouldn’t come back to this.

355ml bottle: BBD 30 Apr 2013. Poured into a ’Back Forty Beer Co’ badged glass sleeve @ home on 13 Apr 2013. Light amber with an orange hint, on top a thin covering of off-white bubbles. Sadly the head soon did a runner. Toffee apple aroma, with added grain. Malty feel to the actual taste, but this a watery brew and it doesn’t carry the 4.4% ABV very well at all. Nicely carbonated but lacks depth of flavour and comes across as a weak, almost bland blend. To be fair it does have a crisp bitter bite towards the end, but overall I wasn’t really impressed.

355ml bottle picked up from a local store in central Liverpool, shared with Kjell. Fragile white head, spotty lacework, clear dark golden body. Moderate aroma of grain and cocoa. Pale malty taste with some impact of grainy chocolate. Dry ending. Soft in the mouth. Ok (relaxing at the hotel room after the hammers match at Anfield, 07.04.2013).

Potent grainy aroma, lots of similar biscuit notes in its taste. Copper golden in colour with a small head. Gritty texture.

Dobre i treściwe piwo z wielką pianą, która tworzy kręgi na szklanicy. Kolor jasno brązowo-złoty. Piwo na lato, nie jest słodkie lecz wytrawne w smaku, a także końcówka goryczkowa.

12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mystery six pack from Andy’s in Rochester, Minnesota. The pour is a clear golden with a foamy two inch white head. The aroma is light grain, and some sweet floral. The taste is a weird herbal honey floral sweetness, slight dirty metallic malt, and a weird grassy dirtiness to finish. It tastes very "industrial". The palate is medium bodied, long lingering dirty finish. Not all that refreshing. Not my thing.

Dark blond colour. Aroma is a bit stale but also sharp. Flavour has dull maltiness, a strong metallic edge and a sharp lemony tang.
