This ferociously coffee-d imperial stout is just like grabbing a booth at The Max, then hunkering down for a study sesh' with a big pot o' joe. Coffee aroma so good it’ll have you yelling “FRESH POTS!” Rock and roll? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Dark mahogany, undetermined clarity with a light tan head that steadily recedes to ring.
Unlike the prairie vanilla noir, the vanilla here doesn't dominate, though it's also not as authentic and seems more extract-like. Rich, syrupy, fruity coffee is strong, as well, with tons of dark chocolate, rich fudge, warming alcohol and random sharp esters/fusels on the finish.
In the mouth it's sweet, with a bit of loose carbonation tending to exacerbate the syrupiness. Tons of coffee, rich, roasty and fruity with strong vanilla liqueur-like character, dark cocoa, mild caramel and a slick-to-hard texture with a bit of thinning on the finish from, in part, the somewhat sharp alcohol.

Well, I give FB some shit for many of their "kitchen sink concoction" beers that, while executed well, often contain ridiculous ingredients and flavors for a beer. But when they do regular beers, their ability to execute stands out. Such is the case here, with a big imperial stout that remains rather drinkable, full of roast flavors, plenty of residual sweetness (not too much, but the point is I've had a lot of coffee stouts that come across as thin and dried out) and a nice coffee complement. Hopping doesn't stand out, but the bittering at the finish is enough to counteract the maltiness. I'd compare this to the best coffee stout I've ever had, Speedway Stout, but then it's been 10 years since I've tried Speedway.

22 oz. bottle. Aroma is over extracted coffee and strong vanilla bean. The flavor has a strong amount of coffee with a smooth vanilla finish. ABV is mostly hidden. Slight, slight bitterness. Actually, real surprised how good this is.

Bomber. Acquired by me in Florida last week @ Broudy's. 3 finger coffee head. dark nut brown to black. smells like hershey's syrup and vanilla. mmmm. that's tasty! old espresso bean, cream, half an half, vanilla bean. roasted coffee beans.

Bottle shared by Matt - thanks! Pours clear black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is really strong vanilla, cocoa, root beer, coffee. Flavor is very sweet, light plus bitter, super adjuncty. Medium body. I like me a good adjunct imperial stout as much as the next guy, but this one is basically just a diabetes bomb in a bottle.
