Keg at the Evening Star Brighton. It pours cloudy/murky reddish-amber with a small white head. The nose is spicy, big clove aspect, weird menthol vibe, some sweet melon/apple, red berry and banana. The taste is crisp, bitter, warming spice, wood, some acidity, rather fruity... melon, pear skin and jammy red berry with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Lets’ say it is rather unique, but it really doesn’t have the balance and drinkability of all of the other Burning Sky offerings.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Copper/rosé appearance with a thin off-white head. Nose is spiced, mint, herbs, some esters, balsamic notes, medicine... disappointing! Flavour is similar, chaotic and confused, a bit sourish and astringency, not easy to drink. Medium body, low carbonation. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

Keg at the Castle Tap, Reading. A dirty pale amber in hue with a moderate white head. Too cold, too thin and too fizzy. Stupid, stupid keg beers. The flavours are rather muted- there’s some white pepper and sweet summer fruits (maybe strawberry? ). It’s pretty disappointing though and I can’t help feeling that on cask it would have had a richer mouthfeel that bought out the flavours better. And it would have inexplicably been a couple of quid cheaper. Stupid, stupid keg beers.
