Bottleshare at Leighton’s flat. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, big fluffy tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, mildly crisp. Frothy mild dark malts, very mild roast. Trace of dark chocolate. Mild piney hops, little hop spice. Airy dry finish. Not bad, bit frothy and could use more hops but it’s fine.

Bottle split at LKS sky portal, 11/02/15 thanks to our host with the most. Black with a decent tan covering of bubbles. Nose carries a touch of pine, red berry fruit, spice, light cocoa rub, raspberry jam. Taste comprises more cocoa, red berry, light soap tones, pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Adequate CDA, ticks the stylee boxes, but not one to seek out again.

Bottle shared at Leightons pad. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Black coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Big head. Aroma is fruity lemon citrus, pollen and floral hop. Flavour is composed of bubblegum, citrus, light pine, tropical fruit. Mellow dark roast with a hint of choc. Spritz carbonation light body, slightly chalky on the tongue. Lingering tropical fruit and soft roast.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown/black with a thick, foamy tan head. The nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, cocoa, orange sherbet, lemon and some dankness. The taste is crisp, bitter, roasted malt, toast, earth, orange/tangerine, mild acidity, sherbert and a touch of alcohol. Medium body, moderate carboantion and foamy mouth-feel. Decent body to it. Quite nice.
