Bottleshare at Leighton’s flat. Thanks to Leighton. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Fine carbonation, a bit over carbonated actually. Mellow dark malts with a mild milky sweetness. Subtle tangy fruits. Crisp dry finish. It’s okay.

Bottle shared at the ’Beers of London’ Tasting MkII, Bespin Cloud City - Hyde Park zone, thanks to our host with the most - LKS 11/02/15. Gusher alert !!! Faded black with a big old light tan coverin. Nose is light soap, chocolate, vanilla, spice. Taste comprises ashen notes, spice, dark fruit rinds, light cocoa. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate for the style I guess but way over carbed.

Bottle shared at Leightons pad. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Opaque black coloured pour with a frothy light tan head, frothy. Aroma is grainy malts, nutty, light berry, mellow roast. Flavour is composed of Clean Base malts, light coco, mellow toasty roast. Light yeasty esters, berry. Palate is high carbonation, airy palate, grainy, Pretty drinkable and light bubblegum. Decent and fairly drinkable.

Bottle thanks to the LBL homer, Leighton. It pours near black with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, juicy, toasty coconut, bounty bar and dark fruit. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, earthy, coffee grounds, cocoa and some tangy dark fruit with a short finish. Big foamy carbonation and mouth-feel. Aroma is pretty good, but the overly-foamy mouth-feel ruins it a bit. So-so.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at the Lab. Pours brown with a billowing beige head. The nose holds some well toasted bread, slight tangy dark fruits. Light sweet flavor with hints of butterscotch, toast, light fruits, mild bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet with hints of char, some bananas foster, dry cocoa, burnt toast. Novel.
