Avocet® is Devon’s original organic real ale. Since it’s creation in 2008, this ale has been a favorite from the start. A distinctly flavoured beer, with a refreshing citrus taste and an attractive aroma.

All our ales are cask conditioned and made using only the finest local sourced ingredients, including traditionally floor-dried, locally produced malts.

Despite its low strength this ale is full of flavour and has character beyond its ABV. Medium golden amber in colour, it has a well balanced flavour enhanced with lots of English Goldings hops.
A great tasting session beer.

Cask at the Volunteer Inn, Sidmouth. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light woody hops. The flavour is light bitter, with a yeasty, light, watery, woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

[ On tap at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence.] A straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; floral aroma; sweet floral taste with a grainy body and a touch of honey; then a light grassy bitterness to finish. A pleasant lager style beer.
