Thnx to Ben ! Pours very dark brown , small, fast fading white head Smell is very slightly smoked , sweet, dark malts, some chocolate undertones . Taste is also very light smoked . Very elegant , and rather hidden smoke . Some roasted maltyness . Bit bitter , good mouthfeel . Perfect carbo

Bouteille 33cl de et partagée avec Tderoeck. BB 03/2015, lot# 302-303. Brune foncée, col léger beige. Arôme offre un bouquet malté agréable aux notes légères de caramel, grillé avec ici un fumé restant très (voire trop, discret pour une bière qui se veut fumée. Houblonné citronné perce en rétro-nasal. Palais est léger et axé sur le malté, grillé, caramel sur un léger chocolaté, petit rondeur venant de l’avoine, houblonné noble anglais rappelant l’EKG tout comme ce côté amer venant du malt. Le fumé reste également fort en retrait sans vraiment percer.

Appearance: Deep nutty brownish color with a tan head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate, toffee, nutty, mild smoked and a bit fruity.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Not to much smoked at start. Maybe to cold. Very mild and pleasant smoked notes after a while. Dark malt, chocolate, toffee, roasted and some vanilla.
Overall impression: Lovely tasty ale.
