No head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark sugar, vanilla, dark malts, mild sweet bourbon, chocolate pudding, caramel. Taste is slightly harsh, too much vanilla, oak, dark sugar, mocha, bourbon, hay, burnt caramel, dark malts, coffee, hints of chili. Longlasting bitterness, very dry mouthfeel. Nice enough, expected a lot more from this one.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Session 4. Pours clearish, dark black-brown with a light, tan cream head. Rich, gooey chocolate in the nose, light roast. Big sweet flavour, with hefty liquid dark chocolate, more roasted malts, burnt earth bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more rich and sticky chocolate character. Lovely rounded chocolate overall. Great beer.

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, coffee, licorice, caramel, vanilla,wood, alcohol. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Full silky oily body with soft carbonation.

Black colour, tan head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, malts, coffee, dough, roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet malty flavour, light bitter, vanilla. Finish vanilla, bourbon, coffee.

Smakprov på CBC Köpenhamn 2014. Smak och doft av mörk choklad, kaffe, vanilj, bourbon, med toner av mint och brunt socker. Bra sötma, lite stickig, mycket alkohol som slår igenom en aning. Fin beska med toner av bitter mörkchoklad. Mycket god.

Draught at CBC ’14. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, wood, toffee, caramel and raw sugar. Taste is highly sweet and light bitter with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Full bodied with low carbonation. Fantastic mouthfeel. Great stuff.

Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol - bourbon. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol - bourbon. CBC Session 4. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale ta head. Palate is soft and airy. Light spice. Lovely soft dark chocolate backed by oaky vanilla. Mild dark fruits underneath, fairly sweet. Smooth finish. Very nice Imperial.
