Our Mosaic Session IPA is a light, straw-colored, West Coast version that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, and Centennial hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. You won’t be able to drink just one – and with less than 5% ABV, you don’t have to. Mosaic Session IPA is an homage to Blue Point Brewing Company’s storied history, a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997. It’s also one of the most personal beers we’ve crafted in a long time. Like the brewery itself, it’s been a work in progress. Our history is very much a mosaic – made up of a lot of talented people with a passion for brewing, and we think this latest brew is where our past meets our future.

16 oz. can from a four pack. Purchased at One Stop Market, Haverhill. Canned on 6/20/15... Damn it I forgot to check the date on the bottom until I got home, I’m such a fucking rookie. Hazy yellow/ gold color, carbonation still long and lasting. Aroma has a strong earthy element, but not what I would expect from this hop variety.

Long sweet grain with notes of citrus. Pine and earth comes in on the finish. The bitterness is weak and comes in sweet. This hop blend comes in more piney then anything. Of course I’m guessing this was a much different beer say... 5 months ago. Will rate a fresher sample if I ever cross it again. All that being said; still just ok.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a slightly hazy to burnt yellow color with a rocky foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Adequate lacing stuck and then slid into the beer.
The smell started with a sweet tropical fruits trying to blend with subtle spice but stays disconnected throughoutthe entire beer.
The taste was pretty much the same thing with a lingering sweet to spicy weird harsh aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light still allowing the bitterness from the hops to bounce around on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was an average session IPA, so most likely I probably wouldn’t come back to.

Cask at GBBF ’15, day 3, 13/08/15. Clear golden topped with a moderate off white covering. Nose is juicy hop essence, tangerine, melon, grapefruit, pine, bread dough, toasted malt. Taste comprises light passionfruit, tangerine, hint of rubber, orange pith, light grapefruit, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop wash. Decent enough session gear.

Grabbed a few random beer bottles prior to pats game since need to keep nerves steady. Fine golden pour nose is dank, tropical fruit, and bready. Tastes of melon, peach, touch of strawberry, weed, pine, bready. Semi watery but quite tasty. Nice job blue point.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. The annual Harrisoni/madmitch76 walkabout. Lightly hazy gold beer, few white bubbles. Palate is light and semi dry with modest fine carbonation. Light clean pale malts. Decent passion fruit. Traces of orange and lemon. Light semi dry finish. Decent.

Lilly and marigold nose. Clear amber, medium head, good lace. Milk chocolate then lemongrass. Full body, moderate carbonation. Very strange beer. It tastes good, but probably not as intended. I’m wondering if I even got the correct beer. More than likely, a chocolate porter of some kind had been poured on this line previously for a long time.
