Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. The nose is toasty, grassy, bitter - sweet, light spice, apricot and some orange. The taste is crisp, bitter, toasty grain, cracker, apricot, grassy, wheaten bread and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp and pretty drinkable. Not bad.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours hazy yellow with a big, fluffy white head. The nose has light doughy wheat, lemon meringue. Light sweet flavor with mellow ripe lemon, crispy hay, light grain husk. Light bodied with moderate, massaging carbonation. Light grassy finish, some sweet dough, bitter grains, citrus fruits. Not bad.

500ml bottle from Hawkshead Brewery Tap - Cloudy hazy pale yellow body, thin white head. Nose is a little flowery, some dough, yeast and some sweet stone fruit. Taste is a winner, nice and fresh, little bit of citrus, long tangy and clean finish. Very refreshing, and just the right side of fizzy.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Cheadle Hulme [061111]
Amber, hazy, big frothy bubbly white head, good lacing
Aroma of citrus hops, lemon, soft sweet malts, fresh, slight orange zest, good aroma
Taste - Fairly sweet caramel base, some bitter lemon zest, slight honey, dab of creamy sponge cake mix, soft orange zest, soft wheat. Like the malts in this, good citrus hop. Quite a complex flavour.
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, rather sweet, good mouth feel. Finish of nice sweet creamy caramel and bitter orange zest.
Overall - Liked this a lot. Bit unusual. Packed with flavour.

On cask at the Beer Hall. Appearance - hazy golden with a proportionate head. Nose - elderflowers and a general herby feel. The main aromas are citrus. Taste - more citrus and herbs. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced finish. Overall - the beer of the day which is unusual as it’s not one of my preferred styles.

Cask @ The Font, Manchester. Pours clear gold with thin white head. Unfortunately this was just way too warm, had a sweet gooey banana aroma with overripe bananas, sugar and dough in the taste. Served at the right temperature I’m sure this would’ve got a higher rating but this time it was too offputting. Will re-rate if I see it again.
