Bottle, gift from Andrew. Black body with a beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of beef Oxo cube, blackcurrants and plastic. Flavour of tangy lime juice, cigarettes and dark chocolate with a sharp, acidic finish. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Hot and rough around the edges, but it’s not bad. Early days...

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Paulo. Medium brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is charred wood, robust, chilli, farmyard and campfire. Flavour is composed of charred wood, smoke, nutty grains, robust malt. A little dirty on the tongue. Palate is airy carbonation, Lingering roast. Where are the hops?

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Paul. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Smooth airy palate, modest fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, mild dark character, some tang and light cream. A little fruity tang comes in. Airy semi dry finish. Pleasant enough.

Bottle thanks to Paulo, split in the Bespin Cloud Network, 03/08/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that retains well. Nose is bitter dark fruit rinds, pine needle, dankish hop strokes, charr, light cocoa. Taste comprises earthy hops, pine needle, dark malts, straw, light perfume, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent CDA.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours rich brown with a thick beige cream head. Pleasant cocoa in the aroma, roast, earth. Medium sweet flavor with some burnt meat, baking cocoa, scorched earth, orange rind. Medium bodied with boisterous carbonation. Ashy roast in the finish, more baking cocoa, burnt pine. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. The nose is earthy roast, chocolate gateaux, cocoa, light vanilla, light zest and Terry’s chocolate orange. The taste is bitter, rich roast, charred wood, peppery action, coffee, dark chocolate, varnish and citrus rind with a lingering bitter, charred finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. A bit foamy, but tastes rather good. Robust.
