Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty, woody and had a brewed coffee element. The flavor was toasty and woody with maple, brewed coffee and cracker. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle split at LKS Heights, 03/08/15. Chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is big coffee grinds, toffee, peppery spice, biscuit. Taste comprises sticky toffee pudding, toasted brown sugars, coffee forward, light cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet licks in the close tempered with light spice and roasted tones. Solid coffeed oop brown.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to de Bois. Light haze on this reddish amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and soft. Sweetish tangy malts, mellow coffee runs throughout, no coffee bitterness. Touch of tangy dark fruits. Light finish. Easy going.

Bottle shared at Leightons place. Clear orange / deep amber coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is big fresh coffee bean, some chilli pepper, veg, nutty brown malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, light caramel, coffee beans, brown bread. Palate is airy frothy carbonation, semi sweet. Medium bodied. Good coffee character.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours clear brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is rich, earthy roast, toast, big coffee action, chewy malt action and cocoa. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, toasty, charred stuff, big coffee character, mild acidity, wood, chewy malt and leather with a dry, coffee - driven finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Solid coffee brown.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours clear reddish brown with a frothy tan head. Massive coffee aroma, some toasty bread, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with some oily coffee, bready sugars, mild chocolate accents. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Oily finish, rich creamy coffee, more bready malts. Solid.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Clear brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roast coffee, malt and earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a black coffee aftertaste. Above average overall.
