Bottle @ Butchers Tears during ’oudjaarsticken 2014’, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, big rocky white head. Aroma of pineapple, peppery yeast, hint of grapefruit. Dry, bit sweet, soft bitter. Like a saison. Liked it.

33 cl bottle @ home. Amber color, hazy. Huge off white head with long retention and good lacing. Aroma’s: earthy hops, refreshing, some caramel malts, with bitter hops retronasal. Flavor is bitter with a malty sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Carbo a bit too high, foaming in the mouth. Alcohol feel is actually quite strong and warming.

33cl Bottle from Food Hallen. Hazy dark orange-amber colour, white head. Darker than I remember the base beer to be. Aroma of yeast, hops, grass, some citrus, malts. Flavour is likewise, yeasty and citrusy, light floral touch, bitter finish. Light-bodied, over-carbonated. OK.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Slightly unclear orange color, medium to full sized dense, long lasting fair lacing white head. Aroma is lightly malts, hops, lightly fruity. Taste malts, mainly bitter hops, lightly fruity. Again very bitter in the finish. Now I like bitterness, but I can see why people might find this too much. I would have liked it to be a bit more fruity as well, but it’s a decent IPA nonetheless. Decent body, lightly fizzy carbonation.
