Cask at the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Golden-amber with a thin white head. Light tropical notes, flowers and dust. Dryish finish. A bit on the light and dusty side but OK.

Cask at Henglers Circus. Clear, golden colour with a medium white head. Soft fruit aroma, taste is very dry and bitter, a little citrus, maybe some caramel trying to fight its way through

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. My 100th Welsh rating - and a good one at that! An attractive golden amber pour with a tight cream head; aroma of bitter orange marmalade; immediately very bitter and citrusy in the mouth with a thick syrupy body - rather like liquidised vintage Oxford marmalade; then a long, smooth and lasting sharply bitter finish. Excellent.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 7/4/2016. Amber in colour, slightly hazy, with a decent, off-white, head. Tropical fruits, grassy hops, some biscuity malts, leading to a dry finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the henry Addington. Hazed golden coloured pour with a lasting speckled off white head. Aroma is nice soft tropical fruit, fresh mango, straw, hint of sweet malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet raw grains, decent new world tropical fruit hop with mango and grape, orange rind. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, decent cask condition. Solid.
