Bottle split at Islo tasting, from a trade, 07/07/16. Black with a decent light tan cap. Nose is a little thin, light charring, faint brett, spice, tangy dark fruit rinds, stewed dates. Taste comprises more mellow dark fruits, brown bread, cocoa sprinkle, more brett edge. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but doesn’t really pull out of first gear for me.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co. Islington - London. Many thanks to Cloin. Pours rich brown with a big, tight beige froth of a head. The nose holds moderate dark berries, light roast, bread. Light sweet flavour with notes of brett funk, bitter chocolate, leathery berries. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Lightly drying to conclude, with faint tang, more funky brett notes, light chocolate. Novel beer. Enjoyable.

Big Bottle share at Craft Islington. Thanks to Colin. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Airy palate, little dry. Reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, some honey sweetness. Trace of malt roast. Nice berry fruits. Seltzer. Light dry finish. Some nice flavours in here but they don’t really sing in harmony.

Bottle shared at the CBC big bottle share. 7/7/2016. Huge thanks to to Colin for this one. An opaque black coloured pour with a a light tan head. Aroma is woody sour, sweaty socks, mild roast, bretty. Flavour is composed tangy pineapple, sour, dried choc powder, woody. Dried apple. Palate is semi sweet, dusty, highish carbonation. Underpar. For other Half.

Bottle at Craft Islington, big thanks to Colin. It pours jet black with a thick light tan head. The aroma is earthy, funky, musty, roasted malt, dried fruits, rocky road, vinous, red grape skin, redcurrant and a touch of ash. The taste is bitter, earthy, roasted malts, wood, must, funk, spice, toasted stuff, cranberry, cherry, raspberry and mild acidity. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Interesting and good fun. Tasty stuff.

Bottle at RB London Meet. Dark brown color, small steady brownish head. Some bretta and fruityness in the "dark" nose. Medium-bodied. Tartish, a bit earthy, toasted maltyness, some cherry but no traces of honey. Not so good as their ipas.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: black with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, light brett, coffee. Taste is sweet and very slightly bretty. Nice and sticky in the mouth. Pretty nice and not as bretty as one would imagine. Still good.
