Level 42 botteshare. Thanks to Big Dave. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Palate is airy with modest fine carbonation. Papery floralness into mild dark malts. Insipid hops. Dry finish. Not a fan.

Bottle thanks, to Dave. It pours black with a decent white head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, juicy, fruity, blueberry, fruit pie, roasted malts and charred wood. The taste is smooth initially, charred wood, toasted cocoa, dark fruits, plum, light spice, charred pine and earth with a lingering charred finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Not bad.

Cask on gravity at Swindon Beer Festival, 22/10.2015. Dark brown in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Dark fruits, a hint of spicy rye malt, supporting toastiness and a dryish finish, with a hoppy edge. A very good dark beer.
