Bottle. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, little bread, hop and a little grapefruit. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, caramel, little bread, medium sweet, little pine, little grapefruit and medium bitter.

330ml bottle from M&S Darlington. Reddish brown-black colour, with a beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, chocolate, dark fruity, hop. Taste is bready malt, sweetish, with roasted, chocolate & coffee notes, and some fruity hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight peachy hoppy. Toasted, bitter and slight herbal hoppy. Dry and bitter far finish.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes malt, chocolate, and butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle@Tuesday Taphouse Bottle Share, Copenhagen - Black pour with beige head. Medium roasted malty and hoppy aroma and taste, some caramel, cocoa, piney hoppy nuances, not bad.

330ml bottle from M&S, the gyle, Edinburgh. Pours clear dark brown with thin beige head. Aromas of cooked fruit, raisins. Taste is light liquorice, light sweet treacle. Light sweet finish.

Dark mahogany in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Sweet fruitcake aroma, with some toasty malts and leafy hops. Flavour was more assertive, with liquorice, sweet dark fruits, more roasted malts and a lingering, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Deep ruby/brown body with a medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of blackcurrant, treacle and Coca-Cola. Flavour of filter coffee, plum and liquorice. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. A tasty, if fairly tame, Black IPA.
