2016 catch up - Bottles at home - Wow, a very floral flavour that took me by surprise. It’s got a good, but light flavour of hops with the maltiness from the stout. Very nice and according to my records I got through 10 bottles of this, so I really did enjoy it.

Bottle. Black/red/brown. Small head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and some citrus fruits. Taste is malts, liquorice, dark chocolate, coffee and a wee whiff of smoke. Long lasting bitter hoppy finish. Dry. Low carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. I’m missing some fruitiness. Still nice though. If the Jever guys would ever try their hands on a Stout I reckon it would probably taste like this. Wouldn’t drink this all night long but I also would never turn down one or two or even three of this...

Bottle. Nose is malt, cream, chocolate, light tropical hop notes. Taste is cream, and chocolate malt with hint of smoke. Light tropical after taste. Better than expected and worth the one pound entry fee

Ok. Malts overpower any hop-presence.
