Can at Leighton’s, thanks to the host! It pours clear amber with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet, rich tea biscuit, dull orange, tangerine and brioche. The taste is crisp, bitter, orange peel, tangerine, waxy peel, rich tea biscuit, brioche and toffee. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A bit messy perhaps. Fair.

Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Thanks to Leighton. Can. Almost clear gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts, quite sweet. Very light pine and citrus hop. Smooth semi dry finish. Pretty sweet, needs work.

Can shared in W2 - bought in London. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a frothy cap. The nose has some breads malts and jammy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with grainy pale malts, light pine, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with light oily and resinous pine, some earth, rindy citrus, pale bread. Simplistic IPA.

A can from the Queens Arms. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - caramel, grain, a touch of orange. Taste - more caramel, very sweet in fact. There is orange there too, but it’s not very refreshing. Palate - medium bodied with a rich, creamy texture and a cloying finish. Overall - not refreshing. Should be, for this style.

Can from Vino Wines. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, orange and pear. Flavour of earth, sweet malts and sponge cake. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A decent IPA, but it’s not as vibrant and hoppy as I hoped it would be.
