Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Clear dark brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of earth, nuts and chocolate. Flavour of bready malts with a sour finish. Thin body with a frothy texture. Soft fizz. Smells better than it tastes. The sour finish is a bit weird.

Bottle shared at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours darkest brown - black with a thick, light tan head. The aroma is fresh, rich, dark chocolate, orange sherbet, candy, earth and wood. The taste is bitter, woody, earth, charred wood, earth, cocoa, orange sherbet, hint of vanilla and some grapefruit soap. Finish is dry and roasty. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A rather flavoursome black IPA.
