Bottle split at Hackobock tasting, thanks to Jacob & Co, 24/11/16. Rich amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is fruit loaf, subtle barrel notes, biscuit, prunes, dried fruits. Taste comprises toffee, fruit cake, brown bread, mellow barrel, plums, spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a fruit tang. Ok offering, sippable stuff but no real depth.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Thanks to Jacob. Hazy amber - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy malts and sour dark fruits. Mild spicy rum. A bitterish dry finish leaves a spicy linger. Tidy.

Bottle shared at the Hackobock tasting at Craft Islington. Thanks to Jacob et al. It pours cloudy red - brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is earthy, musty, wood, tangy dark fruits, leather, vanilla and booze. The taste is tangy, sour, wood, jammy fruits, green apple, vanilla, toffee, fudge, raisin, light varnish, wood and some booze through the finish. Medium - full body and moderate carbonation. I like elements of this, but it is a bit messy.
