Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Paul for the can. Hazy amber - brown beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry and with modest carbonation. Very mellow dark malts, touches of tang and roast. Modest pine and ripe citric hop. Light semi dry finish. Not too bad.

Can with a paper label. Color is light brown. Aroma has fresh roast hops. Something I would expect from this style actually. Citric. Taste is also citric and bitter, nice balance between bitterness coming from hops and from roasted malts. Dry aftertaste coats your tongue, nice herbal bitterness lingers for some time. Ticks all the boxes for a nice drinkable BIPA for me, not too complex, not too simple.

Can at Level 42, thanks to the procurator fiscal of Inverurie, 14/11/16. Light mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is earthy citric peel, earthy tropicana, light pine, toasted bread. Taste comprises light pine shavings, earthy red berry, faint tropicana, charr, cocoa rub, sticky hop. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Decent CDA.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear brown with a creamy, khaki head. The nose has some perfume, pine, melon, orange peel, light toast. Medium sweet flavour with light chocolate notes, mellow roast, oily pine, subtle earthy bitterness, ripe and gooey citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous in the finish, with mild cocoa, more gooey citrus, orange, grapefruit, a little alcohol warmth, pine. Good one.

Can shared at level 42. It pours hazy dark brown with a thick beige head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, pine needles, orange citrus, marmalade, caramel and cocoa. The taste is bitter - sweet, good bitter hit, pine needles, resin, cocoa, grassy, peppery spice and some alcohol boost with a longer bitter - dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty punchy and flavoursome. Nice cda.
