Cask at the 31st Chappel Beer Festival @ EARM. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of smoked cheese, chocolate, liquorice and malt. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Gravicask at The 25th Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival. Near black body. Naked surface, dotted spots on the glass. Slightly roasted malty nose, hints of dark chocolate. Toasted malty flavours, some impact of chocolate and toffee. Ashy impression. Well rounded on the palate. Decent stout. (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017).

High Wycombe House Warming. Thanks to Dan. Clear deep amber - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry and has reasonable carbonation. Wishy washy dark malts, trace of dark chocolate. Mellow dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Clean but wishy washy.

Bottle shared at the hi wy cum. Tasting, 5/11/2016. A reddy mahogany brown coloured Pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is burnt brown sugars, liquorice, toffee, twiggy. Flavour is composed semi sweet, burnt toffee, little treacle, salty, Palate is semi sweet, medium bodied, moderate carbonation, . Fine.

Bottle at Colin’s. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, coffee grounds, wood, cocoa and dull smoke. The taste is dry, earthy, wood, ashy, coffee grounds, roasted malt and chewy action with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Chewy and meh mostly.

Bottle at The High WyCum tasting, Chez Bois, thanks to Dirty D 05/11/16. Light black with a moderate tan covering. Nose is paper, dark fruit tang, light roast, toffee. Taste comprises tangy dark fruits, spice, charr, raisins, toffee, light cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout.

Bottle shared in High Wycombe - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear brown with a creamy, khaki head. The nose holds toasted butterscotch, toffee, ripe berries. Medium sweet flavour with soft roast, hints of cocoa, more toffee, ripe berries. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with toasted brown bread, light cocoa, ripe berries, figs. Enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 6/4/2015. Near black, with a thin, beige, head. Easy drinking stout with some milk chocolate, roasted malts and dryish finish. Fine.
