Keg at Andrew Usherโs. Black body with a thin beige head that slowly fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of raspberry, filter coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour of earth, deodorant and furniture polish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Weird and disjointed.

High Wycombe Walkabout. Red Squirrel Tap Room. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is airy and smooth and has decent carbonation. Soft dry dark malts, mild dark character. Modest dark fruits. Smooth dry finish reveals a dash of Parma Violets. Mild bitter linger. Nice.

Keg at the RS Emporium - High Wycombe. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Nice milk chocolate in the nose, moderate roast. Medium sweet flavour with nips of molasses, cocoa, roast, some orange zest. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with notes of burnt brown sugar, alcohol warmth, mellow roast, berries. Very decent.

Keg at the red Squirrel shop high Wycombe. A dark black brown coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Aroma is soft roast, plastic, hoppy, piney hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet liquorice, black malts, jammy fruits, piney. Palate is medium bodied, highish carbonation, . Pretty good.

Keg at Red Squirrel. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, plum, date, Dandelion & Burdock and earthy roast. The taste is dry, bitter, burnt pine, Dandelion & Burdock, cocoa, charred wood, dark fruits, malt loaf and liquorice with a dry, peppery finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Decent cda.

Keg at Red Squirrel, High Wycombe, 22/10/16. Black with a well presented tan cap. Nose is cocoa powder, toffee, earthy hop, pine flicker, tangy dark citric rinds. Taste comprises light roast, chocolate, spice, red berry esters, light tropical zest, pine needle, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Solid CDA.

Tap @ Queens Head Kings Cross, medium sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of roast, mocha, cookie. Malty bitterness, some chocolatey and mocha sweetness. Good balance, nice complexity. Good beer.
