Historical Beer - Lichtenhainer ✅ That’s way funky, the smoked malts and the tart body strangely work together well. But in terms of flavor, a little goes a long way.

Bottle at Craft Islington, big thanks to JK. It pours cloudy pale yellow - gold with a white head. The aroma is earthy, musty, funky, smokey, cracker, salted lemon, lime and wood. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, minerals, salted lemon, mild smoked meats, lime, lactic acidity and wood. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the balance of this quite a lot. Great for the style.

Craft Islington Gathering. Thanks to JK. Hazy paleish gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, with decent fine carbonation. Mellow wheat. Light lemony sourness. A kinda Gose like savoury vibe. Touch of blue cheese. Smoky dry finish. Different!
