Leighton’s flat clearance. Cheers to the clearance man for the can. Almost opaque brown - amber beer, patchy tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Coffee streaked dark malts, a little dark chocolate that gets stronger and with increasing bitterness. Smooth finish. Any barreling went unnoticed for me.

Can shared in London - picked up in Austin. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose holds roast, milk chocolate, burnt toast. Medium sweet flavour with rich chocolate, dried dark berries, ashy roast, coffee grounds. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with gooey chocolate, roasted malts, dried berries, raisins. Nice depth. Solid.

Can big thanks to LKS. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, charred pine needles, toasty, earth, cocoa, dark chocolate, wood, hint of solvent and varnish. The taste is crisp, bitter, umami, liquorice, salty aspect, big coffee character, wood, vanilla, grape skin, gooseberry and light ash with a dry finish. Medium body and average carabonation. Interesting.
