Bottle at craig’s. Pours golden amber, nose is biscuity toffee, light citrus, taste is chewy, fruity, sweet caramel.

Cask gravity at the 2016 pigs ear beer fest. A caramel amber coloured pour with a halo of loose greyish bubbles. Aroma is solvent, harsh alcohol, boozy apple cake, toffee. Flavour is composed of sweet sugars, boozy cakey malts, Toffee, solvent, paint. Palate is sweet and chewy, Warming alcohol, lowish carbonation. A bit rough.

Opaque brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous. Modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, trace of cream. Light floralness into crystallised fruits and orange peel. Light finish. Tasty enough but lacks the mature depth of the best barleywines.

Cask at Craft 100, 06/10/16. Golden copper with a decent light beige cap. Nose is toffee, grains, straw, earthy, biscuit, fruit esters. Taste comprises caramel, grains, fruit cake, biscuit, dried fruits, brown sugar sprinkle, wooded tones. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light spice bite an boozy whisper. A very basic model and whilst drinkable lacks depth big time!

Cask at Craft 100. It pours clear rich deep brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity, fruit cake, quite oily, light spice and toasty action. The taste is quite oily upfront, mellow toffee, dull fruits, fruit cake, Scottish tablet, alcohol boost, earthy and some wood with a slick finish. Medium body, light body and oily mouth - feel. Oily and a but dull.

Cask at Craft 100 - fall 2016. Pours totally clear gold with a foamy topping. The nose holds musty carpets, alcohol, old rindy orange. Medium sweet flavour, somewhat pily, with a bit of creamy caramel, bready malts, jammy orange. Medium to full bodiednwith soft carbonation. Warming finish with further caramel, ripening citrus, faint wood, rind. So so.
