Bottleshare at Leighton’s gaff. Thank to Fergus. Almost clear dark brown beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, modest carbonation. Thin dark malts, some mild milky sweetness. Touch of tangy dark fruits. LIght finish. Nothing wrong with this but for me it’s just dull.

Big dirty PET at LKS, care of Fergus. It pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sticky, milk chocolate, liquorice, salty, earthy coffee grounds and plum skin. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, earthy, woody, ashy, milk chocolate, lactic, grainy, burnt toast and pepper with a drying, earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fair at best.

Plastic growler shared in Hackney - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear, rich brown with a thin, bubbly tan head. Light roast in the nose, a little milk chocolate, ripening berries. Light-medium sweet flavour, with sugary chocolate, low bitterness raisins. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some English yeast, more sweet chocolate, soft roast. Fun stuff.
