Bottle split at Leighton's 20K, thanks to the Wingman for doubling my SA bunder rates total, 01/03/17. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich fruit rinds, spice, chocoalte, earthy, cocoa powder. Taste comprises tangy dark fruits, nutty, spice, chocolate, fruit loaf, dates. Medium bodied, spritzy/prickly carbonation, drying close. Over carbed which lets this one down quite a bit and also lacking depth to the flavour ABV considered.

Bottle thanks to Wingmane, shared at Leighton’s K. It pours cloudy dark brown with a massive tan head. The aroma is toasted cocoa, nut, earthy, wood, mild acidity, leather and cake. The taste is dry, toasty, wood, leather, cocoa, coffee cake, toasted nut and peppery spice. Finish is dry. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation, which detracts from the overall experience. OK stuff.

Leighton’s 20K at his posh new gaff! Thanks to Wingman Dave. Cloudy dark brown beer, very large tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin dark malts, some earthy coffee. Little malt sweetness. Odd slightly sour chocolate. Dry crisp finish. Passable but odd.

0.33l bottle from trade with kappldav123. Thank you David! It has a loud noise on the pop this one, but no gushing or overflowing. In the glass however it looks like it holds quite a huge amount of carbonation as it pours a huge-headed foamy near everlasting head over a dark and kinda deep dark brownish colored body. It smells, well over carbonated c02, so I think I'll be leaving it alone for a while to settle. Oh yeah, that's more like it. It has a really nice sweet chocolaty darkness backed up with a near ashy roasty thing. Mild espresso and something I combine with nut peel. Nice stuff. Tastes quite good also this. It's a sweet milky chocolate driven one in the taste. Hazelnut? Sure, all the way but there's also a mild peppery vegetal hint that I'm not a huge fan of. Long roasted slightly papery dry tail. Yeah, nice one! Liked it all the way, and well masked abv as this one went away quickly. 24.02.2017

And again a bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Pours out black with a huge but fast fading beige head. Little bit strange on the nose. Fruity sourness with some choco. Taste starts very different. Choco and low coffee, little bit fruity, alcoholic in the background. Later some hints of nuts. Some sweetness in the background. Earthy. Present hop at all stages. Needs warmer temperatures.

Huge thanks to Brewckau for that bottle. Looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Interesting stouty-malty aroma with notes of coffee. Starts dry-malty, quite roasty, earthy notes. Also interesting hints of cacao, coffee, wood. Finish with mild sweetness. Still intense malty-roasty-stouty. Really nice one!
