Big Eagle IPA is big in body & bold in flavour. Generous amounts of four American hop varieties are set against a sweet, four-malt backbone.

Whilst some beers mature like fine wines, Big Eagle IPA deserves to be savoured young at the peak of it's hop fresh character. Open, inhale, drink.

This version was retired in 2017, but returned in 2020 with higher ABV, before returning to 6.4% circa 2021

Tap at The Brewery Tap, Leeds. Amber colour, mid-sized white head. Faint fruityness and caramalt in the nose. Light-bodied. Caramalt, some resin and fruityness in the flavour. Ok.

440ml Can. Deep gold in colour, with a frothy, white, head. Tangerine fruits, some citrus hops, sweetish malts, with a whiff of pine before a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Can, 2021 version marked at 6.4% ABV. Deep, almost clear amber with a large cream head. Robust pine and breadcrust aroma with some kumquat. Medium bodied. Lots of resin with some stewed fruit, bread, citrus. Not as much bitterness as the pine suggests but still quite bitter. Substantial.

On tap at Brew York Beer Hall. Hazy Deep copper colour. Lasting cream head. Pine resin aroma. pink grapefruit some caramel. funny there was a time this flavour profile was synonymous with IPA now its almost seen as old school. i still like it though. Good flavours. caramel isn't too much but enough to carry the hops and it is BITTER on thd finish. Good solid.

Hazy amber with a bubbly off-white head and a caramel and resinous hop aroma. Mildly carbonated with a sweet malt and piney hop flavour, and a dry finish

Clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma had pine and toasted malt. Flavor was fairly happy with notes of grapefruit, pine and hints of lemon. Finished dry and bitter. A bit over carbonated.

330ml can from Tesco - Hazy amber, rocky top. Loads of tropical fruits in the taste and nose. Smooth as fook. Flew down. Best one for a while.
