Bottle, courtesy of minutemat, some time ago in an ELS, thanks! Pours unclear amber. Aroma is super vineous, almost no barley wine left. Body is heavy, dense and sweet. More wine, super intense. Not at all what I expected, but extremely well done!

Light haze on this deep gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, sweetish. Touch of bitter wood. Strong white wine into white Port. Mild spice. Smooth semi dry finish. Tangy spicy winey linger. Unapologetically winey and white port. Nice.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Osprey. Pours clear honey-gold with a slim, white cream head. Citric notes in the nose, some dry pale malts, hay, lemon peel. Medium sweet flavour with more crackery pale malts, some alcohol, white grape, melon. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little oily, with ripe citrus, a little wine, old rindy bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle shared at level 42. It pours hazy golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, fruity, funky, nectarine, peach, must, vanilla, Irn Bru, candy and wood. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, sticky, vanilla, boosty, nectarine, peachy, earthy, leather, orange creamsicle and candy with a smooth finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle split at Happy New Years L42 Shim Sham, thanks to Daniel, 12/01/17. Light hazed on a golden amber pour with a decent off white covering. Nose is sticky toffee, subtle barrel, fruit loaf, syrup and figs, toasted brown sugar, caramel melt. Taste comprises sweet malts, light booze, demerera sugar, light spice, dried fruits, sticky toffee pudding. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising alcohol note. Good barley wine, drinks below the ABV.

Bottle shared on Level 42 12/01/2016. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. A hazed orange amber coloured pour with a lose white head. Aroma is sour grape, vinous fruits, woody, tangy. Little vanilla. Palate is semi sweet, little sour, woody, moderate condition. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, biscuity malts, sour grape, woody, musty sour, dusty. Semi sweet vanilla.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines shared with Lee, Keith and Phil; hazy golden yellow pour with a bubbly off white, aroma has full on sweet marmalade and honey, taste has sweet alcohol, some toffee, hint of malt, in your face ABV.

330 mml bottle as part of the European Local Swap, many thanks minutemat. Tasted on the 06/11/2016. Pale orange colour with a medium lasting head. Aroma of oak, fruit and wine. Taste is wine and intense oak. Next one please!
