Bottle at home, 24/02/17. Light hazed on an orange to amber pour with a decent off white head. Nose is bitter orange, caramel malts, light spice, bread dough, uncooked pastry, biscuit. Taste comprises tangy orange, straw, bready notes, biscuit, toffee, earthy hops, faint pine, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop spattering. Adequate APA but nothing I’d rush back for.

The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangerine, orange marmalade, mango, earl grey tea, slightly creamy, toasty grain and brown bread. The taste is bitter, piney, resinous, peppery spice, zesty orange citrus action, mango, papaya, toasted brown bread and light caramel with a firmly dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty. Not bad at all.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Mother Kelly’s. Gyle 216. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds toasted crackers, ripening orange, bread, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour with more toasty malts, light caramel, more ripening and fairly juicy citrus notes, subtle earthy and piney bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pleasantly assertive piney and somewhat grassy bitterenss in the finish, with more lightly toasted malts, crackers, citrus rind, orange, a little mango, peach. Pretty good stuff overall.
