Can. Very hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has good fine carbonation. Light malts, caramel sweetness. Mild hop spice. Modest orange citrus and light floral hop. Light dry finish. Very curious! Of all the Chorlton single hopped lagers I thought this would be the most lager like (the others are all like APAs) with Saaz a natural choice. Wasn’t expecting this caramel affair.

Can from The Bottle Shop Bermondsey and drunk at home. Cloudy light brown. Didn’t realise there was so much gunk in the bottom of the can. Interesting. Apparently a lager. Some toffee caramel. Some soft hop quite dry on the finish. Mouthfeel is fine. Really this is a lager? Weird. Tastes more like an apa. Wild. Drinkable though.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Murky, juicy looking, dark orange. Messy, glossy, off white head. There can’t just be Saaz in this. Nose is dank, fusty citrus. Ripe melon. Passion fruit. Some pineapple and lemon pulp. Buttery, spicy malt backdrop. Taste is fruity sweet, turning spicy, oily bitter. Soft, creamy mouthfeel. Medium body. Spicy and sweet on the finish, with a juicy, pulpy bitter close. Not at all what I expected, but nevertheless a very tasty beer.

Can. Appearance - cloudy orange brown. Thin lacing. A bit muddy. Nose - light fruit salad note. Spice maybe. Taste - orange and sweet apple. More spice on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - quite a few things going on but a bit disjointed.
