Keg at the Spoons, Victoria Station. A hazy grapefruit aroma. Bright gold. Thin opaque head. Bitter - this grows in strength. Citrus and grapefruit, an underlying maltyness. Overly chilled though, which could have dulled the taste. Light bodied. Lovely carbonation, which stops it from seeming too watery. Short dry finish. Better than I expected it to be. Restrained but refreshing.

Keg at The Ledger Building, CW, 23/01/17. Clear golden amber with a decent light beige cap that retains well. Nose is orange peel, citric pith, lemon rinds, caramel, old skool IPA vibes all round. Taste comprises caramel malt, cantaloupe melon, citric sherbets, bread dough, orange tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light disclosure. Drikable enough and great to have an offering on keg like this in a spoons but it falls a good way short of its other London style contemporaries.

Keg pint in The Flying Chariot, inside Heathrow Terminal 2 on 23rd Jan 2017. Clear, clean golden pour, big white head. Too cold for any aroma at first, some floral hop notes as it warmed. The taste also improved (arrived) as the beer warmed, citrus flavours alongside a decent malty content: finish was semi-bitter and on the dry side.

Tap @ The Masque Haunt, Old Street, London. Clear, pale golden body with a big, foamy white head. Light aroma of pale malt and grassy hops with some citric fruit. Flavor is pale malt, grain, moderate citric fruity hops and OK bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Pretty straight forward, refreshing, plain IPA, not far away from a hoppy pilsner. Decent enough but nothing to I really have to repeat.

Hamilton Hall. Keg. Whilst waiting for a train home. Clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and minerally crisp. Thin dry lagerish malts, modicum of sweetness. Floral hop, medium bitter. Touch of citrus. Dry minerally crisp finish. Floral bitter linger. A well attenuated premium lager really. Decent but come on Truman’s - you know full well this ain’t an IPA.
