Brewed in collaboration with our friends from Naparbeer. Juan and Beinat from NaparBier joined us a few weeks back to brew this fruity and refreshing IPA full of Spanish sunshine. The beer has loads of Mango and Apricot in the aroma/flavour with a smooth body, subtle bitterness and great drinkability. In case you’re wondering about the name, ‘Modernisme’ also known as ‘Catalan modernism’, is the historiographic denomination given to an art, literature (and now beer?) movement.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the Hope Locker. Pours unclear orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Great snout, lots of tangerine, a little pine, melon. Medium sweet flavour with restrained rindy bitterness, more juicy tangerine, some papaya, melon, grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Great balance on the finish, with more bright and juicy citrus fruits. Excellent IPA.

Can picked up at Queens Head Kings X and shared at Craft Islington. It pours lightly hazy deep gold with a thick white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, bright, juicy, creamy, fresh, orange creamsicle, solera, pineapple and tropical fruit juice. The taste is soft, juicy, oily, bitter – sweet, creamy, solera, juicy pineapple, peach, apricot, grass, pine needles and some resin. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Juicy, well-rounded and chuggable. Nice work!
