Cask at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2018, St Albans, Herts. A hazy golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Nice sweet, lemon, sorachi aroma. Tastes of lemon, coconut, caramel, sorachi. This was very drinkable indeed, I love sorachi.

Hackney Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus for hauling this cask grab growler. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, sweetish. Good Sorachi kick, quite bitter here, spicy bitter. Lemony bitterness through the dry finish. Not the smoothest but satisfies my Sorachi craving.

Growler at LKS. It pours hazy golden with a small white head. The aroma is big sorachi, pungent, liquorice, aniseed, very stinky, bready, soapy and a hint of bubblegum. The taste is dry, bitter, pithy, stinky sorachi, earthy, straw, hay, liquorice, coconut and tannin with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Far too much sorachi for me. Stinky.

Cask growler shared in Hackney - thanks to Fergus! Pours unclear orange with a faint, creamy white head. The aroma holds grains, a little spicy rye, minerals. Light sweet flavour with more pale grains, some mellow piney bitterness, wood, dirty hay. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more subtle flint minerality, piney bitterness, pale grains, faint ripening citrus fruits. Not bad on the whole.
