Bottle. Deep brown with a short-lived beige head. Aroma is medicinal with herbal and toffee notes that sure enough are medium sherry-like. But then it's thin and very empty with just topical old caramel notes before a gentle lick of citrus at the end. One of those where I don't know whether they succeeded because I don't really understand what they were trying to do.

330ml bottle bought at El Rincon del Catador in Villajoyosa. Dissipating off-white head to a clear mahogany coloured body. Moderate dried fruits aromas, hints of oak and caramel. Spiced dried fruity flavours, raisin and apricot added by caramel and wood. Ends sweet and dry. Soft on the swallow. Okay, rather sweet in the long run. (Hotel room, Albir 06.04.2019).

Danke an Taboada. Dunkler, cremig malzig-karamelliger Beginn, trocken, grobe Karbonisierung. Überaus milde Herbe, geringe Röstnoen, steigend holzig. Ab dem Mittelteil dann auch herber, weiter cremig, zum Ende schnell abflachend, zuvor kommt noch einmal ein röstiger Schub. Lecker! 10/11/10/10/9/11

A brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma bready maltyness, sweetness of syrup. Taste has breadyness, some syrup, but not too sweet, some dried fruits. Medium bodied. Decent.

33cl bottle from the lovely Spanish Deli called Ultracomida in Aberystwyth. Poured into an old Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass at home on 6th July 2018. Red hue to the dark amber brew, off-white head. Caramel and toffee in the nose and taste, light sweetness throughout, where did the sherry barrel ageing go? Didn't detect any influence of sherry or a mellowing of the beer. Liked it, but was expecting a little more because of the 'sherry barrel - aged beer' bit on the label.

Bottle. Gusher. Red brown colour. Aroma and flavour have some sweet dried fruits especially raisins. A barrel aged beer with such low alcohol is a new one for me. Very flavoursome though.
