Tasting at Matt’s
Black color. The aroma upfront presents peppers. Good Imperial Stout base, balanced, with interesting chili hot kick.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out lots of intense serrano spicy peppers, roasted malt and light coffee. Flavour is pleasantly spicy, with lots of serrano peppers, roasted malt, and coffee. Robust and spicy. Usually not into these very spicy imperial stouts, but this one certainly works.

Dark brown. The aroma is all-in on the serrano, with a little chocolate. Bitter chocolate, with a sweet chocolate finish. The serrano lends only earthy heat to the finish...nothing green. It’s good, mostly because there’s a whack of chocolate to balance it out.

Bottle at tasting. Black pour. Aroma of chili spice, chocolate, roasted malt and spices. Taste has soft chili spice, chocolate, mild cinnamon, roasted malt and a nice spicey chili afterburn. Very nice.
