Level 42 Bottlshare. Thanks to Scopey. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth, semi-dry, and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy soft dark malts, a little dark chocolate, some light malt creamy sweetness. A little spice on the finish. Tidy but just another stout.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy, mocha head. Mild roast in the nose, some aged coffee, old leather. Light sweet flavour with some leathery berries, cocoa, soft roast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more dried berries, cocoa, light roast. Fun stuff.

Bottle at L42. It pours opaque black with a medium tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, toasty, roasty malt, espresso, decent hit of cocoa and cake. The taste is smooth, toasty, roasted malt, charred wood, peppery spice, dull smoke, earth, ash and cacao nibs with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Decent enough.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Scoopy, 23/08/17. Light black with a well appointed tan head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is earthy roast, chocolate, spice, light coffee grinds, sour edge to the fruits. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, spice, light coffee whisper, dark fruit rinds, lactic nip. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough stout.
