Smooth, bright, and super juicy, Tropication is an exotic escape from the daily grind. This mouthwatering India pale ale features Centennial, Citra, Mosaic, and Hallertau Blanc hops, lending a juicy drinkability to this full bodied IPA.

Nice and purely crisp orange and bronze coloured body with a good three centimetre tall tan head that Leaves a fairly nice lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of pure rich citrus with oranges, grapefruits, tangerines and even some pineapple all hitting the right notes along with some resinous notes, but smells great and sugars seem evident as well. Medium-bodied; Very strong malt flavours at first of biscuits, grain and some of the yeast, while the citrus fruits take a back seat, but show some of the dry and bitterness from said hops, without adding much sweetness, just a floral and grassy note at the very end. Aftertaste is a bit more balanced, but the bitterness is striking, however the malt is nowhere to be found, while the sweetness was never there in the first place. Overall, a very dry-hopped (and noticeably so) beer that smells like a lot of characteristics, but the taste and palate don't reflect that properly. Still nice to try, but not worth spending a lot of money or effort on getting. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 27-September-2019 for US$5,00.

Canned 11/29/17, drunk 12/30/17.
Heavily hazy, copper-cantaloupe with a frothy, off-white head that slowly recedes to cover.
Very strong bubble gum mixing with sweet honey, vanilla, and strong pineapple-orange juice. Juicy for sure, but perhaps a bit of excess sugar in there? At least quite low on any resin or even grapefruit despite the strong citrus character. Big yeast aromatics are a bit strong, however, though it's not too sharp on the esters or alcohol.
In the mouth it's quite sweet, soft, very malty with a good attempt at attenuation, but the bitterness is very low, the carbonation low, as well and the rich honey notes from the malt mixing with juicy hops and bubble gum-like yeast all contribute to give a very sweet impression. Still, this is stylistically well-executed to the point of being cliche, even. Thanks, Stacey, for sharing.

16 oz. can. Dated stamp is 11/29/17. Aroma is real nice, straw, white grapes, maybe grass. Flavor has a nice about of fruit medley. Pineapple, grapes, mango, and just a touch of grass toward the finish. The texture is soft with a juicy center. No bitterness at all. Yep, the brew is named appropriately.

Cask at GBBF. It pours hazy bright golden with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, orange, apricot, tangy, mango, tangerine and candied peel. The taste is soft, sweet, bitter - sweet, sugary, candied stone fruits, apricot, peach, nectarine, fruit cocktail and straw with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Soft, sweet and fruity. A rather pleasant fruity IPA.
