Big Poppa is our biggest IPA to date. We've gone as big on the oats as we can and added wheat to help bolster the think and pulpy mouthfeel we all love in new wave IPAs. A big stash of Amarillo has gone into this single hop IPA. From its think pillowy head you'll be hit with big wafts of oozing orange, pulpy grapefruit and sweet zesty citrus. This beer is bright and saturated, with a herbal dandy background and a gentle grassy finish. It's a big tropical punch of a bevvie.

Can. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of mandarin, unfocused tropical fruit, bread. Medium bodied with what at first seems like a creamy texture. Not all that clean and creamy gets on to slurry-like Fruity on top of vague bready malt. Bitterness is moderate. A shrug-of-the-shoulders sort of a beer. Disappointing.

Tap at 100 piv. Unnaturally full bodied, also weird light sourness. Moderate bitterness, but feels less thanks to all the shit put inside. The same applies for the hops flavours, which are fruity, citrusy, zesty. Good but not great.

Keg at the Tea Merchant, Canary Wharf, 05/02/18. Light haze on a golden orange pour with a well presented off white covering. Nose is melon, orange pith, earthy hops, grains, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises soft breads, mango, orange pith, light mineral bite, toasted malts, papaya, pine tingle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Passable IPA ... just didn't pull out of third gear for me.

Can. Murky darkish amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts bring modest dry creamy sweetness. Dry orangey hops, some pith and a little pine. Light semi dry finish. Simple stuff but fine.
