Wethersoon Autumn Beer Festival 2017. Cask @ Beckett’s Bank, Leeds. Deeper golden ale with a berry-sweetness in its nose. Its strength is somewhat hidden in its hoppy taste, but it’s a fairly characterless ale.

Cask at The George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a small, foamy white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, oily, resinous, peppery spice, Earl Grey tea and stone fruits. The taste is firmly bitter, dry, earth, resin, black tea, pithy, zesty, soapy citrus, the alcohol hit and some oiliness with a drying finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Actually not as bad as feared. More English Strong than IPA imo.

Cask handpull at County Hotel Ashford JDW. Clear amber colour lasting cream head. Marstons yeasty aroma but then a solid pale ale underneath. Quite bitter on the finish. I had a pint to use a voucher. Yes a decent strong pale ale. I liked it. Excellent condition. Rode the abv well.
