2014 version 750ml - grey paper wrap

Clear notes of raspberry and chocolate aromas upfront with a vineous mineral touch. Rather slender, well attenuated with incredible depth of chocolate-raspberry flavours, medium-full bodied. Delicate fruit acidity and reminding you of raspberry praliné with a lasting dry finish a bit like Mon Cherry but more like a delicate Mon Raspberry. Aged well!

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is toasted malts, roast and some strong alcohol sweetness. Flavour is sweet alcohol, roast, some liquorice, mild hops as well as some dried fruits. Not that far from Mikkeller Black. A bit too boozy for it's own good.

Pours with a deep, opaque black color and a nice tan head. Yes, bitter raspberrys, tart, roasted malts and burnt caramel. Good work.

Taste is slightly sour-ish strange sweet, sugar, red berries, grass, coffee, dark malts, shed, oak, burnt caramel, ashtray sweaty cheese. Medium to longlasting bitterness, very dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014 - Session 1. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has lots of dark malts, rubber, dark fruits, chocolate. Light-medium sweet flavour with heavy char, bitter earth, oppressive astringency, drying burnt wood. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Hot finish, with more overbearing char, earth. Pretty much undrinkable. I struggled through a few sips.
