330ml bottle. Hazy, medium brown colour with huge, frothy, moderately lasting slightly lacing, dirty off-white head. Nutty malty, slightly bretty, funky and spicy aroma, hints of Hubba Bubba bubblegum, cinnamon, dusty yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly dry, tart-ish, spicy, sweet-ish nuttily malty basis, notes of cinnamon, a touch of morello. A bit weird.

Bottle. As Mad Hatter RedXFunk. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Murky, ruby red. Slim ring of off white head. Nose has the smoked whisky malts up front. Some black cherry. Fruity brett. Notes of blackcurrant hop. Taste is light, stone fruit sour. Hints of sweetness on the lips. Gets fairly bitter as it goes along. Mouthfeel isn’t as bright or clean as I might have expected. It’s a little chewy and oily. Soft carbonation. Pretty full on bitter finish, with a soft smoky sweetness throughout. Good, other than that chewy mouthfeel.
