Bottle split at L42 thanks to Ktwse, 13/02/18. Big Ribena red with a decent crimson cap. Nose is Burnt berries, spice, wood must, lemon rind, damp hay. Taste comprises blackcurrant the yoghurt, lightly smoked straw, mellow brett rise, barnyard, red berry pips. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sharp red berry pucker in the close. Solid sour ... lots of depth for the ABV.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - big thanks to Klaus! Pours a lovely, deep purple-ruby-red with a foamy, pink topping. The nose has a lot of raspberry and tart blackcurrants. Medium sweet flavour with lots of tart berries, bitter skins, moderate acidity. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Good balance. Dry and quenching in the finish, with further tart, fleshy berries, bitter pits and skins, a touch of woody dryness. Overall, impressive.

Thanks to Klaus. Opaque dark purple beer, small magenta head. Palate is smooth, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Super tangy blackcurrant. Tart Ribena, sour and a little savoury. Tangy tart finish. Sour Ribena. Is that a good idea for a beer? Meh! Hard to drink.
