(Keg at William K Kurvi, 20141203) The beer poured amber and rather cloudy. Its head was medium sized, dense and white. Aroma had spices, citricness and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, berries, spices, saltiness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was salty, spicy, sweet and bitter. A pretty weird saison.

Keg at The Euston Tap. It pours hazy golden with a decent white head, The nose is earthy, dough, spice, herbal action, orange rind, candy, apricot and peach. The taste is crisp, bitter, apricot, tangerine, persimmon, bready malts, light spice, herbal notes, icing sugar, light alcohol and pear drops with a dryish finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I do find the herbal notes a bit detracting from the overall drinking experience. Alright all in all.

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Hazy gold with a bubbly head. Hopped, although more crispy and lightly fruity in the main. Not really high on apricot, although the citrus that’s evident is not sour at all. Has a fruity sweetness in both aroma and taste with a fair amount of sugar noticeable in the former.

Keg at CPK - Pimlico, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a big, thick and frothy white head. The aroma holds prominent saison yeast, some dough, citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with lots of tangerine meringue, some lemon zest, sugary and doughy bread, mild yeast, light bitter hay. Medium bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Finishes with lots more creamy meringue, some melon, tangerine, orange, Belgian yeast, dough and candi sugar. Very tasty stuff.

Draught @ Olutexpo 2014
Aroma is somewhat stale with yeasty tones, some urinal and grapefruit. Flavour has grapefruit, funky yeasty tones and fruit candy. Also some malty and oaty notes. Aroma was disappointing but now there’s a party in my mouth and everyone is invited.

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fruits, apricots, spices, yeast and malts. Taste is yeasty, ripe fruity and spicy with notes of apricots, caramel and toffee. Finish is sweetish, yeasty and ripe fruity with loads of apricots and caramel. Sweetish and fruity saison.

Half pint, keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Unclear apricot coloured body. Moments of off-white foam can be stirred up. Spotty lacing down the glassware. Mid-sweet aromas of citrus hops. Flavoured with orange, peach and juicy malts, sappy and not overly sweet. Smooth fruit bitterness to the ending. Fine bodied. Drinks well (London 23.09.2014).
