We have been working on this beauty ever since we took it to the London Brewers Market back in April. The feedback was phenomenal so we did it again and worked on it to make it even better. We released it in keg and it went down a storm so we went one better and just in time for summer. A Can! A gorgeously designed can by our lovely friend Iris Loi. We launched last Friday at Clapton Craft in Forest Hill and at our Tap Room and they are on general release from this Monday 3rd July.
We used kettle souring techniques to create a tart, mouth puckering hit balanced by sweet and flavoursome rhubarb. At 2.7% ABV it is THE perfect summer quencher. It’s a limited edition release so grab a couple for your summer party or BBQ and enjoy!

Keg at Mother Kelly’s, Vauxhall, 27/09/19. Hazed milky yellow with a decent white head. Nose is tangy rhubarb, damp grass, gains, balsa wood. Taste comprises stewed rhubarb, lemon drizzle, straw, toasted grains, light citric drizzle, apple skins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable sour with a moderate acidic bimble.

On tap at Garden Brewery Zagreb. Hazy yellow coloured, small to medium sized white head, sourish nose. Bready, sourish rhubarb, light yeasty and fruity with some berries. Slightly perfumed. Sourish finish. Really good for such a low ABV.

Can at home in London - picked up at Hop Burns & Black. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a thin, foamy, white head. The aroma has nice tangy lemon, fresh rhubarb, a little sweat. Light sweet flavour wth assertive acidity, lemony tartness, quite mild balancing wheat. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Super clean on the finish, with further tart lemon juice, overall sturdy acidity, some salt, pithy grapefruit. Overall, this is great stuff. And given the paltry ABV, it’s absolutely smashable. The only downside is that as the beer warms it gets a little cheesy. Still, perhaps the best beer I’ve had from Brick.

Can from Ldn Beer Lab. It pours cloudy straw yellow with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet - sour, tangy rhubarb, strawberry, earthy funk, straw and hay. The taste is crisp, tart, good mouth - pucker, bright acidity, rhubarb, strawberry, sherbet, lime, natural yoghurt and minerals with a drying finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Plenty of flavour at this sort of abv. Rather well done.
